Self-esteem and confidence can be achieved with a few skills and a suitable role model, helping to create a great image with a look good feel good factor.

Looking good and feeling good are two components that are inextricably linked, and they reflect the complete image of someone who is at ease with the self. Reaching this enviable state means improving self-esteem and confidence. This may seem an awesome task but all it needs is attention to detail and good habits, one step at a time. Life provides us with a range of tools to achieve the best for body, mind and soul.

Find a Role Model to Look Good and Feel Good

A great way to start is to choose a role model, someone you admire among family, friends, colleagues, strangers or stars. This isn’t about mimicking but being able to visualize how you would like to appear and adapting successful techniques to your own personality. Notice how your role model walks, stands, smiles, dresses or speaks and pick up a few practical tips.

Write them down, decide which ones you could apply to yourself and give it your best shot. Work on just one or two small changes a week, feel the difference and watch your confidence grow, ready to take on bigger challenges. Keeping a diary of aims and achievements will help you stay on track.

Polish Self-image, Posture and Dress

Confident people are easy to spot, not by their voice or dress but by the way they stand, sit or walk. For most of us, posture is the single most important element to achieve a confident image. Practise in front of a mirror, at least twice a day, head and spine perfectly aligned in a relaxed and balanced way. A good posture reflects self-esteem and confidence, sending positive vibes to others and to the inner self.

Dress matters too but need not be expensive, simply highlight strong points and disguise any weaknesses. Try different styles and colours, in a department store or a charity shop, take a friend along and have fun. Don’t be a fashion slave, choose what feels right and add a personal touch, a belt, a shawl, a pendant. The same applies to make up and hairstyle, just trying something new brings a confidence boost.

Self-esteem and Confidence for Mind and Soul

Looking good increases confidence which in turn encourages a positive attitude towards life. That’s an essential element to plan successfully for the future, whether family or career. Decide what you want, set achievable goals and start moving towards them. Even the smallest achievement will be repaid tenfold in confidence gain, earning respect from others and taking the feel good factor to new heights.

Challenges are sure to come along but confident people learn to see them as a chance to grow. Two super efficient tools are always at hand, visualization and affirmations. Imagine what you want, in vivid detail and colour, and tell yourself it will happen. Repeat the message aloud several times a day, let it sink into your subconscious and sooner or later, it will find a way to make it come true.

Always remember that body, mind and soul are closely linked. Take pride in your physical appearance and the rest will follow, leading to an all-round confident self with high self-esteem and a finely polished image.
